Adj. Prac. Prof. Cheah Kok Hoong, President of ESGAM and Mr Eric Chong, Vice President of ESGAM proudly attended the Stakeholder Engagement Session hosted by the Ministry of Digital in preparation for Budget 2026, held on 19 August 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. The session was officiated by YB Minister of Digital, YB Gobind Singh Deo, and attended by YBrs. Tuan Fabian Bigar, alongside senior government officials and industry leaders.

* Malaysia’s proposal to establish an ASEAN AI Safety Network—advancing regional governance and public sector readiness for artificial intelligence.
* Strong emphasis on inclusive digital talent development, including professional training for educators and targeted programs for underserved communities.
* Strategic push for digital accessibility and empowerment of persons with disabilities (OKU), with infrastructure grants, adaptive technologies, and employment pathways.
