Adjunct Practice Professor Cheah Kok Hoong is a visionary executive and ESG pioneer with over 30 years of leadership experience spanning digital transformation, venture capital, and cross-sector collaboration. Currently serving as the Executive Chairman of SteerQuest and CEO of Cognitive Digital, he specializes in guiding Public Listed Companies (PLCs) and SMEs through complex digital innovation and strategic scaling. As the President of the ESG Association of Malaysia, he is a primary driver of national ESG policy adoption and sustainable business practices, frequently providing strategic input for cross-border initiatives within the ASEAN region.
Beyond his executive leadership, Professor Cheah acts as a critical bridge between industry and academia, holding adjunct professorships and advisory roles at institutions such as Sunway University and Methodist College KL to shape future-ready curricula. His influential presence in the professional ecosystem is further marked by his roles as the Past Chairman of PIKOM and a National Council Member for the SME Association of Malaysia. By leveraging his extensive network, including the Malaysia-China Business Council, he continues to foster regional alliances that advance digital growth and governance across Malaysia, China, and Vietnam.

Jeffrey Ooi
Deputy President
Jeffrey Ooi brings over 35 years of corporate experience across multi industries such as Telecommunications, Finance, ICT, Logistics and Consumer Electronics.
He currently serves as a Director at Fintech Qriocity Sdn. Bhd. and Volex Automotive Sdn. Bhd., having previously contributed to growth initiatives at Celcom Axiata and Maxis. His career also includes roles with MNCs such as DHL, Philips, Logica CMG and CSC, where he gained valuable operational and strategic insights.
Jeffrey has been involved in NGOs and industry associations such as ESGAM, (where he was the Pro-Temp President) besides PIKOM, MCBEA, MINED reflecting his commitment to Malaysia’s business community at large.
He holds an MBA from Management & Science University (MSU), Malaysia and is grateful for honours received from the Sultan of Pahang (PKT) and Governor of Penang (PJK).

Adj. Prof. Rina Neoh
Secretary General
Managing Partner at Ficus Capital—the world’s first Shariah-compliant venture capital fund. With over 25 years of experience spanning both corporate and entrepreneurial realms, Rina brings a wealth of knowledge from having ideated, incubated, accelerated, or scaled more than 80 startups across various industries. Her impressive track record includes introducing two IPOs on the Australian Stock Exchange and executing complex cross-border M&A strategies throughout Asia Pacific. Beyond her business acumen, Rina is a passionate advocate for women entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, educational empowerment, and poverty eradication.

Harry Tan
Treasurer
Harry Tan Hui Ann has over 35 years of experience in the Datacentre and Mission-Critical Infrastructure industry, playing a pivotal role in building reliable and secure digital foundations across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Malaysia, Harry began his career with Liebert Malaysia in 1987, a leading turnkey solution provider for datacentres and mission-critical facilities. He spearheaded pioneering projects for major banks, oil & gas companies, government agencies, and airlines. In 1992, he took on the role of Head of Liebert’s operations in Indonesia, and in 1999, he was appointed Global Service Director in Singapore, overseeing regional operations and major datacentre support services. His extensive experience across the region laid the groundwork for his entrepreneurial journey.
In 2003, Harry founded Pan Kinetics, with the vision of delivering integrated, world-class solutions for mission-critical facilities. Under his leadership, the company has successfully executed landmark projects for Digi, VADS, West Port, and other prominent organizations, significantly contributing to Malaysia’s digital economy. His expertise also extends internationally, supporting the design and commissioning of Tier III-certified datacentres in Indonesia and Vietnam.
Beyond corporate success, Harry is a passionate advocate for sustainability and social responsibility. He serves as the Exco of the ESG Association of Malaysia and as a Council Member of the SME Association of Malaysia and involve in ESG Bureau Committee, championing ESG adoption and green technology initiatives across industries.
Harry’s career exemplifies vision, resilience, and impact. Through his leadership, he continues to shape the datacentre and mission-critical infrastructure landscape, inspire professionals, and promote a more sustainable future for businesses and communities alike.

Jasper Ong
Assistant Treasurer
Jasper served as Assistant Treasurer and Council member of the ESG Association of Malaysia (ESGAM) since September 2022. In his capacity as Assistant Treasurer, he supported the Treasurer in managing accounting, financial reporting, and audit matters, as well as establishing accounting systems and processes to strengthen governance and financial transparency. As a Council Member, he actively participated and contributed to various association initiatives, helping to elevate ESGAM’s visibility and reputation while promoting ESG awareness within the community.
Jasper is a results-driven Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of diverse experience spanning banking and financial services, manufacturing, plantation, IT, trading, and service industries. His expertise includes financial management, strategic planning, financial and statutory auditing, internal auditing and consultancy field.
He currently leads the finance function at Powerware Systems Sdn Bhd and its group of subsidiaries, a company specializing in data centre consultancy, design and build, and maintenance services. He oversees financial operations, drives performance, manages budgeting and cash flow, ensures compliance and risk mitigation, and facilitates strategic financing and ensures strategic alignment with company’s growth and sustainability goals.
Previously, Jasper held positions at PwC Malaysia and NGL-Tricor Governance, where he developed a strong foundation in audit, risk management, and advisory services. He is committed to leveraging his financial leadership to align financial strategies with business objectives and deliver long-term value creation.

Joyline Chai
Vice President - Academy Chair
Joyline Chai, Vice President and Academy Chair of the ESG Association of Malaysia, stands at the forefront of sustainability leadership in Malaysia, pioneering strategic ESG integration, stakeholder empowerment, and climate-resilient business solutions. With over a decade of experience across ESG advocacy, sustainable business development, and leadership training, she has steered organizations, initiatives, and communities through transformative milestones— resulting in stronger ESG literacy, inclusive climate action, and widespread impact across sectors.
Beginning her journey as a grassroots community leader and active member of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Joyline rapidly ascended the ranks due to her visionary thinking, strategic communication, and results-driven execution. She has held significant roles such as JCI Malaysia Vice President and 2024 JCI Skills Development Committee Chairperson, alongside serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Global Hemisphere Group Sdn Bhd and Founder of S&J Consultancy and Management. Her expertise spans ESG framework alignment (GRI, SASB, ISSB), stakeholder education, impact assessments, sustainable development strategies, and community-based climate initiatives.
Joyline subscribes to a leadership philosophy centered on co-creation, empowerment, and integrity. Her leadership style marked by collaborative engagement, impact-focused planning, and grassroots-to-global integration has cultivated a culture of partnership, innovation, and inclusivity at the ESG Association of Malaysia and across her ventures.
She holds academic and professional qualifications that reinforce her role as a sustainability thought leader and continues to deepen her expertise through certifications, capacity-building programs, and close involvement in Malaysia’s national ESG and SDG frameworks.
Among her many accolades, Joyline was awarded the Pingat Jasa Masyarakat (PJM) by the Governor of Penang in 2022 for her meritorious community service, and the 2023 JCI World Congress Most Outstanding Member Award, recognizing her exceptional leadership in training, fundraising (securing over USD 100,000), and project delivery across international platforms.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Joyline is passionate about community empowerment and youth leadership. She dedicates her time to environmental causes, sustainable development networks, and outreach programs such as the Penang Green Council and the CSO-SDG Alliance, where she leads fundraising efforts. Her commitment to accessible ESG education is also reflected in her support for the ESGAM Mandarin podcast, 《了不起的 ESG》.

Tony Ooi
Vice President - Events, Dinner & Awards Chair
Tony is the Founder & CEO of GP Scion Capital Advisory Sdn. Bhd. (formerly Greenpro NewFin Academy Sdn. Bhd., name change currently in progress) a consultancy firm dedicated to guiding and incubating companies to reach their next growth phase. Previously, he served as the Corporate Advisory Manager at Greenpro Capital Corp., a NASDAQ-listed firm, leading incubation and corporate advisory operations while assisting clients in navigating successful IPO journeys in the U.S.
Tony began his career as an Analyst at Excel Force MSC Berhad, a public-listed fintech firm in Malaysia. In this role, he specialized in financial modeling and provided strategic solutions for corporate clients in investor relations, serving prominent companies such as IHH Healthcare Berhad, Hartalega Holdings Berhad, Malton Berhad, Caring Pharmacy Group Berhad, and Oldtown Berhad, among others.
He later transitioned into Venture Capital & Private Equity, actively managing ASEAN’s first Equity Crowdfunding (ECF) platform licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia. Tony handled various corporate advisory assignments including Public Listings, Mergers & Acquisitions, Venture Capital investments, and Business Incubation.
In addition to ESG Association of Malaysia, Tony is also the Vice President of the China-Singapore General Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (CSGCYE). This organization is dedicated to promoting cross-regional collaboration among young entrepreneurs from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia, fostering resource sharing, collaborative development, and creating mutual benefits through strategic partnerships in Malaysia.
Tony is also actively involved in community initiatives, frequently speaking at events on topics such as Entrepreneurship, Fundraising, and Investment. Additionally, he provides pro bono coaching and mentoring to entrepreneurs preparing for pitching events, contributing positively to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Eric Chong

Eric Chong comes with 30+ years of senior leadership experience across the telecom, logistics, and fintech sector. He held leadership roles in various multinational corporations (MNCs) and regional enterprises, focusing on business innovation, market expansion, and operational excellence in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Cambodia, and Australia/New Zealand.
He founded BoostBiz, a B2B fintech, providing digital business solutions and digital microlending for SMEs and MSMEs.
He also played an active role in advisory boards and industry associations, advocating for digital adoption, sustainability, and the integration of both to future-proof businesses. He is currently holding the following positions:

He recently helped launch an AI-powered Digital “1 window” ESG platform, ESGAMConnect, on June 30th 2025, primarily to serve the SMEs.

Catherine Lian

Catherine Lian, a technology veteran with over two decades of experience, is the General Manager and Technology Leader for IBM ASEAN which includes Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam to lead all strategic and operational decisions related to IBM’s sales, services, and delivery operations. As a part of her mission, Catherine works with clients and key stakeholders in the region to leverage hybrid cloud and AI technologies to help them further accelerate their digital transformation journey.
Prior to joining IBM Malaysia in 2019, she held leadership roles at Dell Technologies, overseeing markets in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indochina and Cambodia.
Catherine’s stint with leadership roles in the IT Industry began at Dell Technologies, where she worked for the past two decades before joining IBM Malaysia. She has also held various management roles within Dell Technologies, covering the South Asia markets, including Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indochina, and Cambodia. Throughout her career, Catherine has been consistently recognised as the key leader in the IT industry, helping and enabling clients to innovate and succeed.
Catherine is a strong advocate for women in leadership in the IT Industry and was recognised at the Channel Asia Women in ICT Awards 2020 as the Highly Commended winner under the achievement category in the ASEAN region. She continues to mentor aspiring talents, believing that by leading the way, aspirants are empowered to create thriving and sustainable communities.
Catherine has been appointed as the PIKOM (The National Tech Association of Malaysia) Councillor in 2021. She has since held key positions in the association, including Chairman for Women in Tech 2022, Chairman for Tech Fest 2022 and Deputy Chairman for IR 4.0 SIG 2022. In 2022 Prestige Magazine Malaysia recognised Catherine as one amongst the 100 of nation’s most influential Women of Power.
She is also recognised as the winner of Channel Asia Women in ICT Awards under the Achievement category. Catherine won this award in recognition of a management career spanning more than two decades in Malaysia and South Asia, built on the foundations of business growth, customer success and individual mentoring.
In 2023, Catherine has been recognised as one of the five most influential Women in Tech by Tech Wire Asia and she has been honoured with the Women in Tech Award from the prestigious World Innovation, Technology and Services Alliance ( WITSA) Global Innovation and Tech Excellence Awards in 2023.
In September 2024, Catherine has won the prestigious award for the Women In Technology Category at the ASOCIO DX Award event which was held in Tokyo, Japan. Datuk Alan See is an accomplished cybersecurity entrepreneur and the CEO of Firmus Sdn Bhd, a regional cybersecurity consulting firm with a presence in Malaysia and Singapore. With over 30 years of industry experience, he has led Firmus to achieve regional recognition, including a successful M&A with Japan’s TechMatrix Corporation in 2024. Under his leadership, Firmus has received multiple awards, such as the ASOCIO Cybersecurity Award 2023, PIKOM Digital Excellence Award 2024, and recognitions from CyberSecurity Malaysia 2012, 2016, and 2019.
Alan was named Cyber Security Professional of the Year by CyberSecurity Malaysia in 2017. He has also led Firmus to win accolades, including Best SME Employer (HRDC 2023), SME100 Fast Moving Companies, to name a few.

William Arasaratnam

William Arasaratnam is a seasoned corporate trainer and business strategist with more than 30 years of international experience across finance, technology, and sustainability. His career journey began as a stockbroker in Chicago before moving into banking with NationsBank of America and Arab Malaysian Merchant Bank. He later transitioned into regional leadership roles with Interworld Technology in Singapore and Malaysia, as well as entrepreneurial ventures in manufacturing and distribution. More recently, William has been instrumental in driving digitalization projects in software development, e-invoicing, and receivables management solutions.
In the Environmental, Social and Governance Association of Malaysia (ESGAM), William currently serves as a Council Member, having previously held the role of Head of Membership Recruitment. In these positions, he has played a role in expanding ESGAM’s reach, delivering orientations and advocating ESG awareness among SMEs and corporates. His efforts have focused on promoting access to green financing, ESG regulatory readiness, and sustainability practices tailored to the Malaysian business landscape.

Evelyn Ong Sok Neo

Ms Evelyn Ong is a Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialist, accredited by the Institute of Certified Sustainability Practitioners (ICSP). She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in International Business from the University of East London, United Kingdom.

Prior to founding Sorga Innovation, Shareen was CEO of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad, a talent and human capital government agency under the Economic Planning Unit of Malaysia in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Between 2007 and 2016, Shareen was Director of Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability at Khazanah Nasional. Prior to joining Khazanah, she was the Chief Operating Officer of Mercy Malaysia, a medical humanitarian organisation with a global footprint.

David Wong Nan Fay is a business graduate (Honours) from Canada. He has more than 35 years of track record and experience in the Information Technology, eCommerce, and Logistics industries.
David Wong is currently the Honorary Chairman of ASOCIO, the Asian Oceanian Computing Industry Organization, and the Advisor and Past Chairman of PIKOM, the National ICT Association of Malaysia. ASOCIO was established in Tokyo, Japan, in 1984 and is the most time-honored and active international ICT Trade organization in the Asia Oceania region. It has 24 active economies with more than 20,000 Tech companies representing USD800 billion of ICT revenue in the region. David Wong is also the Co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of Outsourcing Malaysia (OM), an initiative of PIKOM and a consortium representative of the outsourcing industry.

William Chen

Mr William Chen Jui-Liang has more than 15 years of experience in financial related industry, including sales of various securities instruments, investment operations and analysis, insurance, and venture capital.
He started as Business Manager when he joined Cathay Life Insurance Ltd in 2003, a life insurance company in Taiwan, and began getting great exposure to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia financial investment products when he was Vice President of Investment at Rui Xing Insurance Broker from 2006 to 2008.
He was appointed as Executive Director when he joined Arthur J Stewart Investment Advisors Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based company, in 2008, and was responsible for the company’s investment operations.

He worked with the Management Committee to develop a comprehensive integration strategy that involved streamlining operations, consolidating departments, and aligning cultures. Previously, he was attached to Petronas Lubricant Malaysia, an arm of PETRONAS. Before joining Petronas Lubricant Malaysia, he was at Coca-Cola Refreshments Malaysia, where he started as Regional Sales Manager, East Malaysia, and thereafter as the National Route-To-Market (RTM) Manager, Malaysia.
