👩🏻‍💻 Decoding Malaysia’s Circular Economy with Monash University!

SMEs are the engine of Malaysia’s economy, contributing 38% of the country’s GDP. Their transition to a Circular Economy is not just desirable—it’s essential.
The ESG Association of Malaysia (ESGAM) is honored to have hosted Dr. Ho Hui Ping (Helen) and the research team from Monash University’s School of Business for an interview on their critical project: “Closing the Loop: Decoding Malaysian SMEs’ Circular Economy Revolution”. This research is vital as Malaysia commits to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 , and the Circular Economy is a key pillar of national policies like the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK-12) and the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030).

As the “Voice of the Industry”, ESGAM is committed to:
1. Driving digital enablement through platforms like ESGAMConnect™️, which provides SMEs with AI-powered tools for assessment, reporting, and accessing financing and solutions.

2. Shaping the future outlook, where circularity moves from compliance to a mainstream business model driven by value creation.

3. Integrating civil society insights to ensure the circular economy is both efficient and inclusive.

We look forward to the findings of this research, which will help shape more effective policies and business strategies for Malaysia’s transition toward circularity.
